An American Werewolf in London (1981)

anamerican2First blog post of 2017! I recently rewatched An American Werewolf in London and it certainly is one of my favorite werewolf movies of all time.

An American Werewolf in LondonTwo American college students on a walking tour of Britain are attacked by a werewolf that none of the locals will admit exists.

The best part of the movie is definately the transformation scenes, not just because the SFX in it by Rick Baker is amazing, but because of how emotional that scene is. The main character, David, is very interesting and I did feel every second of his pain. Baker’s work in this film is outstanding and the SFX work on every character is great.

The story is good and even though this film has some goofy moments which will make you laugh it still has a serious tone throughout the film, that hit me pretty hard when the ending came.
