The Stendhal Syndrome is probably my favorite Dario Argento movie that features Asia Argento.
Stendhals Syndrome: A young policewoman slowly goes insane while tracking down an elusive serial rapist/killer through Italy when she herself becomes a victim of the brutal man’s obsession.
I really like the story and the brutality mixes in very well with the beautiful surroundings in Italy. I like Asia’s performance in this one and the opening scene is very powerful. I remember watching this one twice in one day, because after watching it by myself, I had to show it to a friend and she really liked it as well.
The ending is good, but not as jaw dropping good as some of Argento’s previous films, but I still enjoyed the film and will be rewatching it soon.
