Motel Hell (1980)

hell1I recently rewatched Motel Hell at the Cult Film Festival at Alingsås and I also bought the movie a few weeks ago. I got the Arrow bluray edition and it is so beautiful! I appreciated the movie a lot more watching it the second time.

Motel Hell: A seemingly friendly farmer and his sister kidnap unsuspecting travelers and bury them alive, using them to create the “special ingredient” of their famous roadside fritters.

The best part of Motel Hell is definitely the special garden filled with bodies of victims. The scenery is pretty horrifying, but also comical at the same time. The two main characters, Ida and Vincent are very interesting to follow and the last twenty minutes are a delight.

Motel Hell is definitely worth checking in to.

Grading: 8 out of 10.
